Taking part in January Jumpstart has really been helping me get back on track this year with writing and posting to my blog. I may not have posted every day in January, but I have posted more than I did during the entirety of last year. Lunch Date is a guest series by my friend Ms Karen Glass rather than my own, but I am still helping edit and posting it for her on my blog. I am quite enjoying this project with her and hoping she will share more with us.
The past few years have been a steady struggle for me on several levels and of course it’s affected my blogging. Many reasons, many fresh starts, but nothing helped. I’m sure personal and health issues have played the biggest part, but I’ve also not wanted to post negative or whiny posts, things that weren’t so sexy. I’m over that now.
We all go through highs and lows in our lives, times when we thrive and times when we hide away from the world. Life isn’t just a series of fun sexy times, no matter how much we’d love them to be. I’ve always been good about being transparent in my everyday life but have not done a good job with that here. I have been honest, of course, just not open and honest enough. I need to share the struggles, to be okay showing the bad bits along with the fun sexy bits.
I want to thank Violet Fawkes for hosting January Jumpstart, just one of the memes she hosts in addition to all the other wonderful things she does. I don’t know why January Jumpstart was the catalyst that got me going, but it did and I am thankful for that.
I participated in several memes in January. They were: 4 Thoughts or Fiction, BoobDay, January Jumpstart, Monochromerotic, and Wicked Wednesday. Jumpstart ends today but I have plans to continue the momentum and participate in even more memes in February.
