Beauty of The Pussy ~ The Artist and Artist Wife

So, here we are, another wonderfully Wicked Wednesday to celebrate. This Wednesday I have the honour of sharing the artwork of a friend, The Artist. He was inspired, to some extent, by the Pussy Pride Project and the Great Wall of Vagina. I struggled with how to present these pieces to you, and in the end thought the words of Artist Wife may be best…

“After he read of the Pussy Pride Project he was wondering about pussy caricatures. He is a professional artist and was wondering about an approach to depicting the beauty of the pussy in a non-goofy caricatured way. In as much caricatures are usually pushed facial features– what do you push when it’s your crotchal region and still be you? If someone was to be poetic about their pussy, is that translatable to caricature? Can an artist happily depict someone’s pussy and not come off as dysmorphic? Or perhaps happily celebrate the dysmorphia? He is curious about exploring this. He is an over all admirer , like most men (LOL) but he is an artist inspired as well. Can a guy do it justice? Do you think caricatures would be interesting–artist to artist?”

After her initial email I responded with an I’m in! What can I do to help? The idea excited me too. I couldn’t wait to see what he had in mind, how he could translate the beauty of the pussy into caricature form.

Just as what you see when you look in the mirror as opposed to what I see when I look at you, it is impossible for everyone to see or feel the same on a piece of art (regardless the form or subject matter). That is what makes art so fantastic.

Artist Wife and I saw different things in these initial offerings. I noted that they could be like our own erotic Rorschach test. What do you see?

  1. Wow!!! I love these :)
I’m sure the Rorschach test would prove beyond a doubt what a kinky soul I am! I think I see a threesome going on there 😉

  2. These are truly lovely, what a talented artist. I don’t know why but I am not as keen on number 1, as I am on 2 and in particular 3 but that is not to say the first one isn’t good just doesn’t catch my eye in quite the same way the others do.

If you would like to add the Pussy Pride badge to this post and add it to the linky list on the page then please do so. I think it is a valuable resource towards the project.

    • Thank you Molly, I will do that. He will be tickled!

  3. He surely is a very talented artist. I studied the drawings and my favorite is the middle one. I love the lines in it, the shadows, the simplicity.

As you said, some will like it, some will not. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right?

  4. Number one looks ready to fuck, which might be why it’s my favorite. Number two looks like a pussy that has something to say. I’m also a big fan of this one as I believe the sounds of pussy are beautiful music unlike any other. The third is so fascinating. I see a heart, but I also see this pussy as other-worldly, it’s own island at least. It’s appropriate because pussy can open up an entire universe. One could spend their entire life exploring one pussy and would still never unlock all of her mysteries. Much like the universe itself.

  5. What wonderful pictures. Depicting that vaginas are all wonderful and unique.

  6. beautiful and are artistic. The last with the flower appeals to the romantic inside me SHHHHH do tell you will ruin my reputation…lol Thank you for sharing

  7. These are all absolutely gorgeous. The second is my favourite, for its simplicity and starkness I think :)

  8. I don’t see how a healthy pussy could be malformed. The artist caricatured the structure and functional aspects of the pussy. I hope that it’s beauty is can be see by both men and women.

  9. All of these creations are beautiful, if I were to pick a favourite it would be number 2 for the simplicity of the use of a simple line drawing and the way the shadowing is used, but, they are all stunning in their own right.

  10. I’m especially fond of the second one, mostly because of the focus/frame, the grey tones rather than colour, and the simplicity of the lines. It really does say “caricature” to me, in an interesting way, rather than something like a photo. But still being realistic, at the same time. Also I like it because of how the labia are so obviously not symmetrical, which is very cool.
