Just For Today

My flesh is pale alabaster
only the faintest blush
visible at times
I was but a mere wallflower before you
one of many in a field of white
but still you noticed me
made me feel special
you brought me home
transformed me
into a thing of beauty
and claimed me as yours

Today I wear a veil of yellow
your favourite colour
and a corset of blue
tightly strung
keeps my posture straight
accentuates my voluptuous form
you have pinned me
placed a collar about my neck
to show the world you own me
that I am yours

Even if just for today

Are you ready for a writing challenge, Rebel asked. Oh, I wasn’t entirely sure. This weeks challenge: Write from the point of view of a wedding bouquet. I gave it a shot. Let me know what you think.
